Health Education

North County Health Services proudly offers services in Health Education. Our staff of Health Educators provides on-going education to our on-site patients for chronic illnesses, such as diabetes or asthma, as well as special programs or projects, such as childhood obesity prevention, that receive short- or medium-term funding from the county, state, federal government or private institutions or foundations. Some of these programs may be short-term pilot programs in areas of interest or at specific sites. In addition, Health Educators plan mammography clinics and establish community relations with social service agencies, churches and homeless shelters. Health Educators also plan breast and cervical cancer awareness events.
