Dr. Paul Hazelbaker joined North County Health Services at Oceanside-Carlsbad Health Center in November 2001. He graduated from Western University of Health Sciences, and completed his internship and residency at University of Southern California - L.A.C. Medical Center. He began practicing in 1999, and is board-certified.
Dr. Hazelbaker joined the organization because "practicing at a community health center, I can use my training, expertise and skills to treat most of the community." He will work along side other clinicians at the practice to care for adult patients who present with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity, acute conditions such as an HIV infection, and any other problems for which a patient requires medical attention.
Dr. Hazelbaker is a native Californian who enjoys water sports, history, travel, and anthropology. He is fluent in English, and is working on becoming fluent in Spanish.
