Rosita Cortizo

Family & Marriage Therapist, Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.)
Dr. Cortizo graduated from United States International University School of Human Behavior where she received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2000), a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (1998) and a Master's in Chemical Dependence (1993). She has completed internships at Women's Outpatient Recovery Center, Jary Barreto Crisis Center, and at Scripps Behavioral Health Outpatient Services. Dr. Cortizo is a native of Panama and is bi-lingual (English/Spanish), bi-cultural therapist who enjoys working with the dually diagnosed, as well as with families and migrants, and their ecosystems.

Rosita Cortizo is an integral member of the Social Services and Counseling Department and works with the OB/GYN programs at San Marcos and Encinitas WHS clinics.
