Susan Melnikow
Lead Midwife - CNM
Susan Melnikow has been a practicing nurse midwife since 1981 and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center; she earned her Masters Degree from Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. She has worked in a variety of settings across the country including home births, birth centers and hospital practices, and in midwifery education. “My goal is to help women understand the fear that surrounds the birthing process and to regain trust in their own ability to give birth.” This experience lays the groundwork for successful parenting and creates the foundation for building healthy families.” Susan enjoys working with a diverse clientele and receives great joy from her interactions with them. She also enjoys travel and spending time outdoors, close to nature.
