Chih -Wen Shi
M.D.
Chih-Wen Shi is a Board Certified Family Practice Clinician. She was born in Taiwan and graduated from UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Shi performed her internship and residency at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Family Practice. She received a Fellowship in Primary Care Research and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Her first year of practice was in 1999.
In treating her patients, the most important is to listen to their needs. Dr. Shi joined North County Health Services because she wants to work with a team of staff dedicated to serving the community. She enjoys being in family practice because it is very rewarding to work with families and watch them grow.
Dr. Shi is married and has a son. She lives in San Marcos and has been in San Diego County since 2003. Her top three hobbies are art, music and traveling. Besides speaking English, Dr. Shi can speak fluently in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. She is also involved with the Tzu Chi Foundation.
